An excerpt from my upcoming new book MAKING LOVE TO:
Love has a Lover it would like you to meet.
He goes by many names. Death. The Grim Reaper. Thanatos.
He may come for You and appear as a terrifying and forbidding sight – a skeleton wearing a dark robe with scythe in hand.
Don’t shoot this Lover. This Divine Messenger. Instead, can You make love to him?
Love loves you always.
Love loves as You push Death away or as You embrace and make Love to him.
If you choose to embrace Death, know that Love will support You. Always. If this is frightening to You, ask for Love’s support.
Love wants You to know that the many roles you have played in this human life will come to an end. The body as a temporary form dies and falls away like old and ill-fitting clothing.
But You live on.
Death WILL come calling. Love asks you to open your heart. So that when Death comes calling You can relax, make love to him and greet him. Death is a lover who has called on You many times before.
Love loves life. Love loves form. Love is form. Love knows that form is ever changing, and some may call this ending of various forms “Death”.
Your time here on Earth as a human being is a blessing. And your time of leaving is a blessing as well.
Death is nothing to be feared.
You have done this many times before. The falling away of the body, the rediscovery of your divine essence, the leaving that is not really a leaving at all. The Death that is not a Death at all but simply a releasing and relinquishing of form.
Love wants You to know that You are indeed immortal. You may have forgotten but both You and Life have no end.
When you can make love to Death, You are truly free.
Mankind has many ways to bind themselves and box themselves in with fears. And Death is perhaps the biggest fear of all.
Make love to Death and you will free yourself and open yourself to Love in unimaginable ways.
To find Love, give Love, receive Love, be Love…start by making Love to Death.
Love lovingly asks to you to greet Death. To make Love to Death.
Read books on Death. Talk to others who have died, left, and come back. Listen to music on Death. Meditate on Death. Contemplate Death. Walk in graveyards.
Ask for Love to show You the true nature of Death and how to greet it with an open heart and open mind.
Welcome Death as both teacher and lover into your life.
Want to find a true and ever-lasting Love?
Push nothing away. Especially Death.
The bodily form You inhabit, and the roles You play in a human body will come to an end.
But You will not end.
You may choose to inhabit another bodily form. Over and over and over. Life goes on. Form is ever changing.
Or You may exist without bodily form lovingly watching over and guiding others.
Love wants You to know that Death is nothing to be feared. You are loved. Always. In this form. In any form. In any and all roles you play. And Love loves You in your unembodied truest essence.
Love wants You to know that even if you can’t taste the slightest hint of Love, that all You feel is fear and more fear, that Love IS ever-present. It Loves You in all your fears and even in your fear of Death.
And Love says that if You desire to break free of fear, ask Love to guide the way. It will lovingly steer You to all that blocks Love – Death being perhaps the biggest block and greatest and most transformative lover of all.
